RCC
Above all else, I believe in the healing power of relationship. I believe in a client-centred and holistic approach to counselling and wellness. In session we will explore areas related to the body, mind, and spirit as you move toward healing and wholeness. As a counsellor, I work from a trauma-informed, attachment-based foundation.
It takes courage to enter into the journey of counselling, to be intentional about learning more about yourself, and to work through current, past or unresolved experiences. I am continuously inspired by the dedication and resolve demonstrated by the people I work with, as they navigate their growth journey.
In my professional career, I have had the great privilege of working with adults and adolescents affected by a variety of concerns, some of which include: life transitions (marriage, divorce, addition of a child, career change), grief/loss, depression, anxiety/panic attacks, emotional eating, stress, emotional regulation, personal growth, post traumatic stress injuries, and trauma.
In 2012, I graduated with a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology. In addition to my formal education I have completed the following trainings:
Movement for Trauma with Jane Clapp (Level 1 & 2)
Eye Movement Trauma & Reprocessing (EMDR; Level 1)
Sand/Rice tray therapy
I hope to provide you with an authentic, compassionate, challenging, and insightful space as you explore past or current challenges and learn new skills.
